Growing up in the vibrant culture of Trinidad, I often dreamed of living an extraordinary life that would allow me to make a meaningful impact on others. As a child, I envisioned myself as a motivational speaker, traveling across the globe and inspiring people from all walks of life to pursue their dreams and overcome challenges. Despite this passion, I followed a more conventional path; I pursued an accounting degree, believing that a stable career would bring me security and fulfillment. I landed what seemed to be a promising job as an accounts officer at a major insurance company, complete with a decent salary and benefits. However, deep down, I felt a gnawing sense of unfulfillment. The work was monotonous, and I found myself unchallenged and incredibly bored, yearning for something more.
My life took a tumultuous turn when I made the brave decision to divorce my abusive husband after three years of marriage. That was a pivotal moment, igniting a fire within me to forge my own path and reclaim my life. With a renewed sense of purpose, I decided to start a vehicle import business, drawing on the knowledge and skills I had acquired from my past experiences. Initially, the venture appeared to be a success, and I was filled with hope and excitement as I navigated the challenges of entrepreneurship. However, the reality soon set in, and the business crumbled under unforeseen circumstances, leaving me bankrupt and grappling with a deep sense of despair.
Despite the overwhelming darkness that enveloped me during that time, one life-altering night sparked a profound shift in my perspective and resolve to transform my life. In that moment of reflection, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, exploring my values, passions, and what truly mattered to me. This awakening led me to found the Woman To Woman movement, a platform dedicated to empowering women to realize their full potential and embrace their strengths. Through workshops, mentorship, and community support, I strive to inspire others to overcome their struggles and pursue their dreams, just as I am learning to do every day.
Since answering this calling, I've had the incredible opportunity to speak on numerous stages around the world, sharing my experiences and insights with diverse audiences. I've authored a few books, each aimed at empowering readers and providing them with the tools they need to succeed. Additionally, I have had the privilege of helping dozens of other women launch their own businesses, guiding them through the challenges and triumphs of entrepreneurship. I have built an international organization dedicated to supporting women in their entrepreneurial journeys, and I became an internationally award-winning speaker recognized for my impactful messages. These milestones truly reflect my unwavering dedication to living a life of purpose and helping others discover and pursue their own paths to fulfillment.
