Reinvention is a Decision: How I Started Living Life on My Terms
Reinvention doesn’t happen by accident. It doesn’t come wrapped in a gift box or whispered as permission from someone else. Reinvention is a decision. And it’s the best decision I ever made.
For years, I was stuck in the cycle. Wake up. Work hard. Repeat. On paper, I looked like I had it together. But inside? I was exhausted, unfulfilled, and secretly screaming, “There has to be more to life than this.”
The truth? I was playing small. And playing small was slowly killing me.
The Breaking Point
I remember one morning, sitting on the edge of my bed, staring at my laptop, and feeling like I couldn’t do it anymore. My soul felt tired. I had built businesses that looked successful to the outside world, but I wasn’t happy. I was living for deadlines, clients, and everyone else’s expectations.
That’s when I realized—I had built a life that looked good but didn’t feel good.
So I asked myself: What do you really want, Suzanne?
The answer was simple: I wanted freedom. Freedom to travel. Freedom to create. Freedom to say yes to myself without asking for permission.
And right there, I made the decision that would change everything: I was done living life on other people’s terms.
Reinvention Isn’t Pretty
Here’s the thing nobody tells you: reinvention isn’t glamorous. It’s messy. It’s scary. It’s filled with doubts, setbacks, and people questioning your choices.
When I decided to walk away from what wasn’t serving me, I didn’t have all the answers. I didn’t even have a clear roadmap. What I did have was faith and a stubborn belief that I deserved more.
I leaned into trading because it represented freedom—earning on my own terms, from anywhere in the world. I leaned into travel because it reminded me that life was meant to be experienced, not just survived. And I leaned into storytelling and speaking because I knew my journey could help another woman step into her own power.
Living Life on My Terms
Fast forward to today—I’m a full-time day trader, a world traveler, and a woman living boldly on her own terms. I trade in the mornings, hop on flights when I want, and wake up every day excited about the life I’ve created.
And sis, let me tell you… there is nothing more powerful than waking up and knowing you’re living a life you chose.
Lessons from My Reinvention
Here’s what I want you to take away:
Stop waiting for permission. Nobody is coming to save you or tell you “it’s time.” You decide when it’s time.
Reinvention is messy. Expect the doubts, the fear, the side-eyes. Do it anyway.
Freedom comes from choice. The moment you choose yourself, doors will start opening you didn’t even know existed.
Your story matters. The moment you own it, you give another woman the courage to own hers too.
Final Word
Reinvention isn’t about burning everything down. It’s about deciding that your life deserves to be bigger, bolder, and more aligned with who you really are.
So here’s my question for you: Are you ready to make the decision?
